EuraTex® technology
For scented textiles, the microcapsules are formulated on
- compositions provided by the perfumer,
- perfumes selected from Euracli’s Aroma Library,
- scents or fragrances developed by Euracli upon customer request
For smart textiles, Euracli selects the best active ingredients or essential oils
to meet the specific need.
These are emulsified in a liquid medium. A polymer wall forms,
protecting the active ingredients from the environment and from oxidation
without affecting their performance, and preserving every perfume note.
These microcapsules are for cosmetic use in compliance with the European REACH regulation.
The formulated microcapsules, about 2 µm in diameter, are incorporated
into the binder that is best adapted to the target textile.
Application tests are performed in Euracli’s R&D laboratory
to determine the product concentration or perfume strength
that will guarantee optimum performance without altering the fabric’s colour or texture.
When there is agreement on the result, Euracli starts the formula production phase.
Les microcapsules are deposited onto the fabric
using the most suitable technique (padding, immersion, spraying or recharging)
as a function of how finished the product is, of the type of fabric,
and of the expected resistance to washing.
When the clothing is worn, friction causes the microcapsules to rupture,
releasing the active ingredients.
